Beautifulcilmber - Mount Prau has at least six official climbing routes, but there is only one alternative route that is a favorite of climbers, namely Igirmranak.

The Igirmranak hiking trail is arguably one of the new climbing routes with conditions that are not too crowded by climbers.

Even though it is still quiet, it doesn't mean that this route doesn't have stunning views. Apart from that, the scenery is also very charming along the way.

Access to Igirmranak

According to the information from the head of the Igirmranak basecamp, you can reach this climbing route by bus if you come from Jakarta and its surroundings.

The road trip by bus from Jakarta to Wonosobo takes approximately 12-13 hours and it depends on the road traffic conditions you are passing.

From Jakarta you can go directly to the Mendolo Wonosobo terminal. For the cheapest bus ticket prices, starting from IDR 140,000 and the most expensive IDR 250,000.

You can choose several bus operators, such as Pahala Kencana, Agung Trans, and Banyu Biru.

You can visit two terminals that serve this bus trip, including Pulo Gebang Terminal or Tanjung Priok Terminal. For the final destination, Wonosobo, you will get off at Mendolo Terminal or Sawangan Terminal.

Since your destination is Igirmranak base camp, of course, choose the bus that stops at Mendolo Terminal.

Prospective climbers can then continue their journey towards Pasar Kejajar. The trick, by leaving using the shuttle bus Tayo to Dieng.

Access to Parallel Market

The cost incurred to be able to take the Tayo or Mikro Mini bus from Mendolo Terminal to Pasar Kejajar is around Rp. 25,000. The Mikro Mini or Tayo will depart when the passenger seats are full.

Usually, this bus will serve passengers until around 17.00 WIB. It takes about 40 minutes from Mendolo Terminal to get to Pasar Kejajar.

Get off at Pasar Kejajar and continue taking an ojek to the base camp. After arriving at Pasar Kejajar, you can continue your journey to Basecamp Igirmranak by using a motorcycle taxi service.

Access to Basecamp

Arriving at Pasar Kejajar, you will see local residents lined up on their motorbikes. They will immediately call you when you get off the bus and offer motorbike taxi services.

The tariff for using a motorbike taxi service from Pasar Kejajar to Igirmranak basecamp is IDR 15,000.

Use a shuttle service from the terminal. If you want a simpler and shorter way to get to Igirmranak Basecamp, prospective climbers can use a shuttle service from Mendolo Terminal.
